ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Doting grandmother, convertible-car enthusiast, obsessive nature-lover and keen spectator of gardening, Debra Nunn is a writer, primarily of children's books.
Born in Bristol in 1953 and educated in Gloucestershire, Debra moved to London in the early 1970s, started a family, moved back to Gloucestershire, expanded her family, and then worked in the ophthalmic manufacturing industry for 25 years, before taking early retirement to pursue the second chapter of her life - her writing career.
A long-held ambition to publish her first book – Atmospherics, a collection of countryside narratives set in the local area and spread over the four seasons – was quickly realised. Her three young grandchildren have subsequently provided the inspiration, input (and valuable critique) for her new range of children’s books – the Bryan the Pigeon series.
Debra continues to live in Gloucestershire with her husband, an expanding/contracting number of birds, squirrels and hedgehogs, and a black Labrador with a fetish for shoes and birdseed.
